I am Muscogee born and raised in Oklahoma. In 1998, I left Oklahoma in search of growth and healing. Since my departure from Oklahoma, I have enjoyed a rewarding career in Student Affairs expanding over six universities serving multiple Native American student and diverse student populations. My time at these institutions bestowed upon me unique cultural experiences, special stories, meaningful relationships, and professional expertise and respectability.
I am forever thankful to the many tribal families and communities who welcomed me into their homes and ceremonies, and to those who adopted me as an uncle, nephew, son, and as a brother. These relationships have helped me heal and keep my internal fire burning so that I may continue to do this purposeful work in higher education.
I hope to provide service to those individuals and institutions that need a better understanding of how to serve and work with Native American students and communities. I want the experiences, teachings and values, the good medicine, gifted to me to be received by others and incorporated in their work.
